A dumbell rack helps organize your weights

If you buy lots of invidual dumbells then a dumbell rack is a good investment. Otherwise, all your dumbells lie around the floor, and you trip over them instead of getting a good workout...

Obviously you don't need a dumbbell rack if you go for the all-in-one style dumbell like powerblock or bowflex. But if you go for individual or adjustable dumbells then a rack is useful.

Some dumbell racks are 'rolling', whereas others are fixed vertical. There's multi-tier racks if you want easier access. A lot depends on how much space you have available for your dumbbell rack. If you don't have much space, then a vertical rack is good. If you've got lots of space then maybe go for a rolling rack, you can just slide your dumbells right onto.

For those people who use adjustable dumbells, then you need a plate rack. You might only have 2 bars, but many plates to store.

A dumbell rack might see an unnecessary cost, but if you're serious about youyr dumbell workouts, it's a cost well worth paying.
