dumbell sets - which should you choose ?

dumbbell sets come in various different forms. At the gym you usually find a wide variety of dumbell sets , from 5lbs or less, right up above 60 lbs.

A gym can afford to buy all these individual dumbells, and put them all on expensive dumbbell racks ! But the home user has a couple of other options.

If you want a set of dumbbells for home use, then you can choose adjustable dumbells or the bowflex/powerblock style dumbbell.

dumbbell sets from Powerblock, for example, give you the equivalent of 37 different sets of dumbells. And they're space efficient.

Next alternative is to buy adjustable dumbells, where you buy a couple bars and then add a selection of different weights.

So there's basically three different alternatives to buy dumbell sets - buy individual dumb bells and put them on a rack, like in a gym; or buy an all-in-on powerblock type set; or go for an adjustable set of dumbells.

Whichever you choose, you're sure to get a great dumbell workout.
